Overview

Anoya makes handcrafted natural soaps in small batches. We designed the soap box for the full range: Skin Restoration, Skin Repair, Detoxifying, Unscented, and the Natural Soap series of Cocoa Butter, Fuller’s Earth and Scrub. Each soap is 100 gm and comes in a plastic-free box.

Challenge

The range keeps growing, and each soap has its own herbs and purpose. Every box had to be easy to tell apart on a shelf and still look like Anoya.

• The soaps are made from natural ingredients, so the boxes had to look natural, not clinical.
• Some soaps need to show their herbs, while others are simple everyday soaps.
• All boxes had to follow the client’s fixed material and printing requirements.

Approach

We designed the range as two families under one brand.

Illustrated range. Skin Restoration, Skin Repair and Detoxifying each have a full-colour botanical illustration of their own herbs:

• Skin Restoration: lavender, gotu-kola and rose
• Skin Repair: marigold and liquorice flower
• Detoxifying: hibiscus and basil

One label system. Every illustrated box has the same white label with a dotted border. The “0% Chemicals” band changes colour to match its box.

Unscented soap. For sensitive skin, we kept the box calm and quiet: soft blue textured paper and a single dark botanical emblem.

Natural Soap series. Cocoa Butter, Fuller’s Earth and Scrub use a simple leaf and sprig pattern. Each soap has one colour: brown, red and gold. The label has a foil-effect border.

Clear information. Soap name, key herbs, benefit and weight are easy to find on every box.

Outcome

Anoya’s soaps now look like one family, and each soap is still easy to tell apart. The illustrated boxes show the herbs inside, and the pattern series keeps the everyday soaps simple. The range is in the market, and the design system makes it easy to add new soaps.
